Bana what? Bana who?
Let me explain. I recently completed my Elleebana Certification for lash lifting, lash tinting and brow tinting. Elizabeth Montgomery, owner and operator of The Lash Room in Niagara was the instructor for this course. Elizabeth was also the instructor for the Lash Extension Course I completed. She is a Certified Instructor by the National Association for Lash Artists. Elizabeth was an excellent instructor and incredibly knowledgeable.
What is Lash Lifting?
Lash lifting is a new and improved eye lash procedure that lifts and shapes natural lashes. The end result is an open eye with longer looking lashes. Think of it as your eye lashes permanently curled with a lash curler. You can have your lashes tinted darker to truly enhance your eyes. Yes the solution is very close to the eyes and no you cannot go blind. With that said, you want to make sure your technician is trained and using proper hygiene practices.
Lash lifting is a great alternative for those wanting beautiful lashes without the commitment of lash extensions. One 20 minute session is all it takes to reveal a lash curl that will last after swimming or a shower for up to twelve weeks!
How long does it last?
The lash lift results can be retained for up to 90 days. The lift lasts as long as the natural lash cycle. The hair shed cycle is different for everyone. Many salons have their clients rebook six weeks after service for a re-lift.
What is Elleebana?
Elleebana is an Australian Company. Elleebana developed the worlds fastest lash lift system. Using a silicone rod the lashes are adhered to the rod. Two steps of solution are placed at the base of the lashes and rinsed with water. The process is complete at this step and beautiful curled lashes will appear.
If you want to enhance the look even further, you can tint the lashes. Apply Belmacil tint to ensure a long lasting lift. Belmacil and Elleebana products work excellent together and are proven to last. Elleebana products are premium with little to no odor.
Elleebana lash lifts are an alternative for people that do not want the maintenance of lash extensions. People with autoimmune diseases that cannot wear lash extensions due to sensitivities or weak lashes may be a candidate for a lash lift. Elleebana is a gentle and quick procedure.
A consultation with every client is extremely important. A consultation reviewing medical history, current eye health, sensitivities or surgeries. If a client is pregnant and has never had an Elleebana Lash Lift before, it would be best to not do the lift. If there is a reaction, your pregnant client is unable to take medication to relieve the symptoms.
It is essential to have your client stop by for a patch test 24-48 hours before the Lash Lift appointment. You apply a very small amount of lift lotions to the inner elbow area. If your client has no side effects to the lotions on a patch test, you may proceed with the lift. If your client has super sensitive skin and a reaction to the patch test, it is in the best interest of the client to decline the procedure. ‘
The work environment for any procedure is required to follow infection control and sanitary measures. This ensures a safe environment for your clients and their health. If you have a spa bed it must be easily wiped down between each client. A bare floor that can be cleaned as opposed to carpets which can trap pathogens and dirt. Towels, blankets or any products used during an appointment must be disposed of or laundered before the next client.
Your tools, instruments and supplies should all be stored and cleaned properly. Your tools should be metal and cleansed in a medical grade agent and wiped down with alcohol. Products that are plastic must be disposable. This will keep your work space very clean and keep your clients healthy.
I hope this answers your lash lift questions.
